Jackwolf Group Appointed by Oldham Council as Principal Contractor to Deliver a Boiler and Heating Upgrade at Beever Primary School in Oldham.
The project will see the replacement of the school's boilers alongside the installation of a new Building Management System (BMS) panel. Together, these works will give the school smarter, more efficient control over its heating, helping to reduce energy use and running costs while improving comfort and reliability for staff and pupils.
To minimise disruption to teaching, works are programmed to begin in July, timed for the summer holidays while the school is closed. The approximately eight-week programme is planned to ensure systems are fully operational for the return of staff and pupils in September.
The appointment reflects Jackwolf Group's growing track record across the education sector and its ongoing commitment to working in close partnership with local authorities such as Oldham Council, delivering improvements that make a real difference to schools and the communities they serve.
Alongside the works, Jackwolf Group is committed to delivering a range of social value benefits for the school and the wider Oldham community. This includes using local labour to support the regional economy, providing a charitable donation, and delivering a hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) session for Key Stage 2 pupils, giving young learners an early insight into careers in construction and building services.
These commitments ensure the project leaves a positive legacy that extends well beyond the new heating system, supporting local people, inspiring the next generation, and giving something back to the community the school serves.
"We are delighted to have been appointed by Oldham Council to deliver this important upgrade at Beever Primary School. Replacing the boilers and installing a new BMS panel within the tight window of the summer holidays takes careful planning and close collaboration. It's a project we're proud to deliver, and one that reflects our growing work across the education sector and our strong relationships with local authorities. Our team looks forward to getting on site and delivering a first-class result ready for the new term." said Mark Biles, Jackwolf Group.
