Jackwolf Group Appointed to Deliver Major Heating Upgrade at Mayflower High School in Billericay, Essex
Jackwolf Group is pleased to announce that it has been appointed by Barker Associates Ltd to deliver a major mechanical services upgrade at Mayflower High School in Billericay, Essex.
The project will see the complete replacement of the school's boilers, hot and cold-water systems, heating pipework and emitters. The works will modernise ageing infrastructure across the site, improving energy efficiency, reliability and comfort for staff and pupils for years to come.
To minimise disruption to teaching, the main body of works is programmed to begin during the six-week summer holidays while the school is closed.
Funded through the Condition Improvement Fund
The project is being delivered through the Department for Education's Condition Improvement Fund (CIF), an annual grant scheme that helps eligible academies, sixth-form colleges and voluntary-aided schools keep their buildings safe and in good working order. CIF is highly competitive, with several thousand schools bidding each year for a limited national funding pot, making a successful application a significant achievement for the school.
By turning that funding into essential infrastructure improvements, the project supports the school's long-term goal of providing a safe, warm and modern learning environment.
"We are delighted to have been appointed by Barker Associates to deliver this important upgrade at Mayflower High School. Replacing critical heating and water systems within the tight window of the summer holidays takes careful planning and close collaboration, and we're proud to help the school make the most of its CIF funding. We look forward to delivering a first-class result ready for the new term." Said Ben Cohen, Managing Director.
